Women and Chantix
Addiction is a vice that was earlier only related to the male species. However with the change of time women are moving forward and are going hand in hand with men. So much so that women are now taking to the fateful habit of smoking. It has been proved in the studies that addictions prove to be more harmful to women than to men. Also it is harder for women to give up addictions in comparison to men. Still there is no denying the fact that sorrow and distress prove to be a major catalyst for a woman to fall into smoking and other like wise addictions. Financial constrains, absence of liberty, depravation etc are some other reasons that push a women to take shelter in the bosom of addictions. Like the male breed she was not meant to be as expressive and articulate and was always taught to drink the wine of pain and sorrow without making a noise. Apart from this factor, finance also makes women take recourse to addictions. For example in the disturbed country of Afghanistan women are increasingly falling prey to addictions because they have no money to buy food and other necessities and so they prefer to remain in an addictive trance. Smoking is an addiction. Most smokers start when they are teenagers. It is one of the worst things People can do to their bodies. Some adults may start smoking just because they're inquisitive. Smoking hurts not just the smoker, but also family members, coworkers, and others who breathe the smoker's cigarette smoke, called secondhand smoke. Cigarettes contain revolting things that smoker would never think about putting in the body.
Chantix acts in human body by providing some satisfaction that nicotine gives hence reduce withdrawal symptoms and blocks the nicotine from entering relevant parts of the brain. Puffing away at the cigarette without any care and concern for the consequences can yield terrifying results in the long run. And if the smoker is a woman the results can be more harmful than you can ever imagine. A woman earns the highest respect when she bears a child in her womb but what if she becomes the cause of its death. The life giver becomes a life taker. Experimentally, it has been proved that girls, in general, are more prone to get addicted to nicotine and have a slower functional system to eliminate nicotine from their body in comparison to men. If the female is above the age of 35 and has not conceived after a period of 6 months of contraceptive-free intercourse or if a female is incapable of carrying a pregnancy to term, it may be termed infertility. The main cause of infertility in males is low sperm count or volume. Sperm production is affected due to hormonal problems in the testicles or pituitary gland, treatment of cancer with chemotherapy or radiation and several other factors. Sometimes genetic problems also play a part. The fertility rate of women is affected by age. Other conditions that lead to infertility in women are pelvic inflammatory disease, ovulation difficulties, diabetes, thyroid disorders, liver problems, kidney disease, problems in the fallopian tube, uterus and cervix and endometriosis (a disorder in the female reproductive organs). Smoking is not only dangerous for your heart and respiratory organs but also your reproductive functions. Smoking or consumption of substances that contain tobacco reduces sperm production in men and affects the quality of eggs in women, causing infertility in the course of time. Smoking also decreases the production of testosterone in men, thereby causing impotence.
